Create [ Custom Design ] Shorts in Minutes

Using the Hit Gun > Factory > Area > Sync mode; you can create your own unique designs by combining features like Custom Design, Add Visual(T), Mirror, and Rounded Corners, as you will see in the tutorial.

In this tutorial, the goal was to create 2 custom-designed Shorts contents from a 4-hour broadcast by a streamer named Ninja. By using many different features of VE3.Plus simultaneously, an effective result was achieved.

🌱 Process Steps

1️⃣ With the URL feature, the target video is integrated into VE3.Plus.

2️⃣ With the Hit Gun > Factory > Duration > Fixed feature, the content durations have been set to 30 seconds

3️⃣ Using Factory > Method > Random mode, How Many has been set to 2. In this way, 2 unique contents will be created from random moments of the target video.

4️⃣ Our goal is to place the streamer’s own image in the top-left corner of the content we create. To determine the streamer’s image simultaneously, the Factory > Area > Sync feature has been activated, and the Merged Area option has been marked as Advanced.

5️⃣ Merged Custom Area Type has been selected as Pixel, and to determine the pixels (resolution) of the relevant area, a screenshot of the broadcast has been taken and resized in Paint to match the 1920×1080 (1080p) resolution.

⚠️ VE3.Plus processes videos by default at 1080p resolution. If the content used is of lower quality, it operates at the highest available quality (e.g., 720p). The resolution ratios for processing are determined based on these qualities. This detail is specified at the 40-second mark, and for this content, processing was done at 1080p resolution.

6️⃣ Since we need the streamer’s own image, the relevant area has been selected with a red square, and information such as Width, Height, X, and Y Coordinates has been added to the area named Merged Custom Area Pixel.

7️⃣ After completing the settings in Sync, the Render settings were checked.

8️⃣ Since we want the streamer’s channel promotion to be included in the Shorts content we create, we have moved to Options > Add Image(T). The reason for choosing this feature over Add Image(T) is that it allows defining Time Range.

ℹ️ In both Add Image and Add Image(T) features, you can define not only images and GIFs but also .mp4 videos.

ℹ️ “The Time Range feature allows you to specify when the defined media should start and end on the screen. In our example, the defined media starts at the 3rd second and ends at the 7th second.”

9️⃣ A simple video created in 10 seconds on Canva has been defined in the system from the Images(T) section.

💠 A logo from the results of searching for ‘Logo animate’ on Canva has been used, and a logo related to the streamer was found on Google, added to the Canva animation, and saved in a folder in .mp4 format.

🔟 Since only 1 media was used, the Number of Images(T) has not been changed.

1️⃣1️⃣ To define Image Settings(T), a black frame of 1080×1920 (9:16) was created in Paint, and the placement of this media within the video we want to produce has been determined.

1️⃣2️⃣ After the center of the screen is determined, the relevant resolution and coordinate information have been added to the system, and the Time Range has been set to 3-7.

1️⃣3️⃣ After these steps, the process of including the streamer’s face in the content to be produced has begun. Since a custom design will be created, the transition has been made to the “Custom” tab, and Custom Video Settings have been activated.

ℹ️ In VE3.Plus, content is produced vertically by default with a resolution ratio of 1080×1920. If the Wide feature is activated, content production is done horizontally with a resolution of 1920×1080. When Custom Video Settings are activated from the “Custom” option, content can be produced in any desired resolution.

⚠️ Frame dimensions cannot be changed. The sizes of the produced contents can be shaped within the 1080×1920 resolution. The Custom mode is currently disabled for the Wide feature.

1️⃣4️⃣ Since we want our main video (game content) to cover the entire 1080×1920 (9:16) screen, the values 1080×1920,0,0 have been entered in the Main Video Settings section.

1️⃣5️⃣ To determine where the streamer’s image will be placed in the video, relevant work has been done in Paint.

1️⃣6️⃣ After the area where the streamer’s image should be added to the video was marked with a yellow square, the Width, Height, X, and Y Coordinates of this section have been defined in the “Merge Video Settings” section.

1️⃣7️⃣ Since the streamer is facing left in the original video but we want them to face right in our content, the Merged Video option has been activated from Settings > Mirror.

1️⃣8️⃣ The streamer’s image we added is square-shaped, as indicated by the drawing in Paint. To make this image round, the Merged Video option has been activated through the Rounded Corners feature, and the Merged Video Rounded Setting has been set to 150.

⚠️ Rounded Settings may vary depending on the resolution of the content being worked on (in our example, the streamer’s face). For instance, higher values might be needed for larger resolutions. To determine which value will give better results, you can use Canva’s “Corner rounding” feature.

1️⃣9️⃣ Finally, the folder where the content will be saved has been specified, the process has been started, and after reviewing the obtained results, the work has been successfully concluded.
